Special Interests: Home restoration, art & antiques, and travel. In addition, I am on the Board of an organization founded by and named after my mother, Martha Wolfe, called "Martha's Kids". She began (when I first started school) by noticing children at Candler Elementary School who needed clothes or school supplies and providing for them. The organization is now a 501-3C nonprofit, and Candler School, Hominy Baptist Church, Buncombe Co. Tow Truck Operators, Target, and many other groups assist children and their families in need in WNC though this continually growing organization.
Significant Events: I am a speech and language pathologist and a certified hearing impairment specialist, but I've been in management since the third month of my first job. I have had a private practice, then moved into the corporate world of healthcare, and have been President of a national rehab company with approximately 1,000 sites. Due to my career, I have lived in NC, SC, FL, CT, AZ, WI, and now back to NC. After my brother, Tom, passed away, I returned to the area to be closer to my mother, Martha. I am currently working with Life Care Centers of America as the Regional Rehab Director for NC, SC, and GA, and oftentimes TN.
