James B. West, Jr., 60, of Asheville, died Monday, December 14, 2015. He was a son of Esther Rice Johnson and of the late James B. West, Sr.
Surviving in addition to his mother and stepfather, Carl Johnson, is his best friend, Ralph Hayes; sisters Vicki Johnson and Rene Meadows; brothers, Ronnie West and Jackie West; and beloved nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the Patton Ave. chapel of Groce Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dean Rice officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Green Hills Cemetery. |
