James William McCoy
Willie died in an automobile accident on Sept. 27, 1974, at the age of 18. He was employed by Magnavox and was a member of Pole Creek Baptist Church. He was very active in sports, playing with the Hominy Valley Little League baseball teams, the Senior Babe Ruth team, and pitching for the Enka High baseball team. He also played tackle and guard with the Enka Jets football team and was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
Willie was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kelly M. McCoy; a sister, Revona McCoy; and three brothers, Terry, John, and Christopher McCoy.
