Johnny Freeman
John Paul "Johnny" Freeman died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008 at the age of 52 following a brief illness. He was born in Evansville, Ind., grew up in West Asheville, was a scout in Troop 138 at Abernathy United Methodist, attended Enka High School, and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by four brothers, Lanier, James, Charles and his wife, Rebecca, and Thomas and his wife, Susan; and one sister, Pat Freeman and her husband, Jim Lenburg.
