Children's Names: Ben, wife Sara & son, Silas; Thad, wife Heather and sons Grady & Colby; Logan, wife Leighton, son Warren & soon-to-be daughter, Lainey.
Occupation: Retired from Buncombe County Schools in 2017, currently work part time as an Instructional Coach in BCS.
Special Interests: Spending time with family, hiking, genealogy, local history, quilting, writing, occasional travel, and working in the outreach ministries at our church, Snow Hill United Methodist.
Significant Events: 47th wedding anniversary in July!
Other: For EHS Band Members: Roger retired from teaching in 2017- he served as only the third band director in the history of Enka High School, following John Lackey. We stay in touch with Dale, John's widow, who lives on Oak Island, near our son, Thad. We traveled with Dale to D.C. in 2022 for the internment of John's ashes at Arlington Cemetery.
